 Your membership in
the non-profit organization called the Friends
of the Summerland Research Station
Gardens is a critical part of keeping the
Summerland Ornamental Gardens a vibrant and
inspiring place to visit. Members are the
backbone of this group, providing support and
assistance to a dedicated group of volunteers
and a small, core group of employees. The
combination of members, volunteers and employees
all working together has provided a team that
has continually brought the Gardens to higher
levels.
Membership in the
Friends of the Gardens (FOG) is
inexpensive with annual fees of only $20 for an
individual or $30 per family. Unlimited
admission to the Gardens is just one part of
your membership. Each year members are invited
to the Annual General Meeting, where, surrounded
by other keen gardeners or aspiring gardeners,
birders, and outdoors enthusiasts, a
knowledgeable speaker brings a wealth of
inspiring visions and ideas to the attendees.
Members also
receive the Friends of the Gardens
Newsletter three times each year, highlighting
new happenings in the Gardens as well as ideas
that can be useful in your own garden, provided
by the many experts who are already a part of
the Friends.
